Local Government Law
Ms. Steinerts serves as district counsel to numerous independent special districts, including community development districts and improvement districts, and is counsel to the Coral Springs Community Redevelopment Agency. She advises on matters pertaining to procurement, contracts, public records and the Sunshine Law, land use and public finance. Ms. Steinerts' experience in the area of local government law began in 1997, as an Assistant City Attorney, where she advised in the areas of transactional, land use, finance, procurement, labor and employment, code enforcement, public works and utilities law.
Ms. Steinerts has represented planning and zoning, code enforcement and charter boards, as well as the city commission. While serving as General Counsel to the Broward County Clerk of Courts, Ms. Steinerts advised all divisions of the Clerk of Courts on matters involving contracts, procurement, labor and employment, public records, statutory and Constitutional issues.
